Liverpool fans have reignited their rivalry with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

Liverpool supporters couldn’t help but poke fun at Sergio Ramos as the defender was shown a straight red card against Manchester City. The Los Blancos star pulled down Gabriel Jesus as he bared down on goal. The referee reached straight for his pocket and gave Ramos his marching orders.
It was a moment that Liverpool fans enjoyed, after he inflicted pain on them in the 2018 Champions League final.
Ramos fell on top of Mohamed Salah and damaged his shoulder, forcing the Egyptian off in tears.
Liverpool supporters couldn’t help but laugh on social media following the straight red.
One fan said: ““HAHAHAHAHAHAH HAVE THAT RAMOS U DIRTY W****R LMAOOOOOOOO”
While another Red wrote: “Ramos red card???? AHAHAHAHAHAHA”
“Hahahahaha Sergio Ramos BYEEEEEE,” said another.
Another put: “Ahahahaha Ramos red ahaha”
One fan identified that their rivals City could be going through now, but still didn’t care: “Don't give a s**t about Man City but Ramos being sent off makes me really happy #RMCity”
Another wrote: “Ramos in the mud. You love to see it”
Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev, but the Reds came back stronger to win the competition the following year in Madrid against Tottenham.
Salah did receive a message of apology from Ramos, amid fears he would miss the World Cup.
He did eventually go on to play at the tournament in Russia, but the fallout from the incident continued for months on end.
Ramos later said that he didn't mean to harm Salah, and defended his actions and the negative response he received in the aftermath.
Ramos said: "I respect everybody’s opinion and it is true that sometimes people misjudge me."When I play against a tough rival it is the most thrilling thing that can happen to me and something that I look forward to."When you have to go against a nice forward player or striker you have this nice duel and of course inside the right context where you don’t want to harm anyone, and with the right intention and the right heart."It is a game, you go to win and try to defend yourself but always inside you have respect."
