Federal Government Announced a resumption date for Work Nationwide


Today being Wednesday, 29th April, 2020, the national coordinator of the task force on COVID-19,Sani Aliyu announced that the Federal Government has released a statement that all bank branches are to start operations on Monday, 4th May, 2020 with a time restrictions which they are to operate between 8 a.m to 2 p.m daily.

He added that banking hall in three major cities; Lagos, Ogun and Abuja would attend to customers between 8a.m to 2p.m promptly. 

In addition, he said all Federal Offices nationwide will be open for workers to resume work from Monday, 4th May, 2020. Though it will be based on grade level and specific days in order to reduce amount of congestion in the government offices. 

More so, other sectors like agricultural and rural development, companies which involves in food processing can now commence operations. And for manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies will maintain shift work on limited staffs to 30 to 50 percent to maintain social distancing. 

He concludes the statement that only restaurants and schools will not be opened

Aliyu said the reason behind this development is to enable Nigerians to cope with the effects of the lockdown that has been in place almost a month as a result of corona virus.
